i360 - Observation tower
There is no missing Brighton’s newest attraction the British Airways i360, designed by the architects of the London Eye and i360 is essentially a pod of a pole: visitors board the gleaming, saucer-shaped pod - complete with champagne bar serving local fizz - and are whisked up for 360-degree views over the city and beyond.
On a clear day the views extending up to 26 miles, are great: inland to the South Downs and east to the Seven Sisters cliffs and beyond. The whole experience will take 15 minutes, but it is fun one-off, just be sure to plan your visit around the weather. The ticket price for 1 flight starts from 16.5 pounds per adult.
At the bottom of the tower there is a restaurant the West Beach Bar & Kitchen, and a tearoom housed in one of the restored 19 century tollbooths that previously marked the entrance to the West Pier.
