Sustainability

The construction of this hotel began by utilising the historic caves that we dug millennia ago, although they have been significantly extended to accommodate the full structure of the buildings. This said, the integration of the building within the surrounding nature is incredible.

Architecture

The construction of this hotel is somewhat of a miracle. Much of the property is under the ground so from the approach you would be forgiven for missing it at first glance. However under the ground the scale of the construction becomes clear. Connecting staircases, carefully planned light wells, all lead towards the one thing you've been looking for in Santorini, the perfectly private plan directly facing the mythical sunset of Santorini.

Location

Imerovigli is the historic capital of Santorini's latter history. Built by the Venetians, due to the fact that it is the highest point of the island, the ruins of the castle may still be explored today. Skaro rock is here and for the more intrepid well worth the steep climb. The village also has the advantage of being quite a central point on the island giving close proximity to the popular red, black and white beaches as well as Oia which lies 7km to the west.
