Located in the centre of the island at one of the highest points, Lefkes is a must stop when you are traversing Paros Island. The village retains all of its old world charm and the residents take great pride in maintaining the pure white washed walls and alley ways. Home to several artisans you can find original hand made jewellery, sculpture and painters at work. The islands largest Venetian church is located here and opens its doors early morning and evening. The byzantine hiking route also passes through and this is a great place to start and end your hike. In the heart of the village is a traditional Cycladic square where you can sit under the shade of large trees and enjoy fresh juices, cakes or the mandatory daily ouzo.
