Set in a village a short distance from St Moritz, the hotel is at the start of several hiking trails, whilst the cable car to higher elevations and skiing is just outside the village.

Hotel Edelweiss is located in the heart of Sils-Maria, close to St. Moritz. Elegance, culture and tradition are combined with modern comfort since 1876 – perfect for relaxation and recreation. The family hotel with a magnificent dining hall in décor of Art Nouveau is situated right next to the Nietzsche house. Already the famous poet and philosopher did appreciate the service and fine cuisine of the hotel. It was also the starting point for many of his walks through the Engadine landscape, which was so dear to his heart. Still today, numerous hiking trails and cross-country ski trails start in close vicinity of the hotel. Even the cable car Furtschellas is near the village, located just outside of Sils.
